Abstract
:
Gout is a clinical inflammatory syndrome and is a common end point of a group of disorders that produce hyperuricemia and subsequent deposition of monosodium urate crystals mainly within and around joints. In this case report; we are presenting an unusual case of gout in a young Saudi adult male who presented clinically with skin lesions in the perianal region. Although gout is a well known disease which is extensively studied, to our knowledge, such a presentation has never been reported in the literature before. A review of literature regarding other unusual sites of involvement and presentations is included.
